Pevac Video for Google Drive lets you enjoy your Google Drive MP4 videos on your Roku. This handy service consists of a Roku app and a companion Google Cloud web app that bridges your Roku to your Google Drive content. Keep in mind that your Roku device dictates which video compression types are supported (e.g., AVI files aren't compatible).
To get started, Pevac needs your permission to access your Google Drive videos. Simply follow the authorization steps on your Roku device and complete the process using any device connected to your Google account.
Please note: Pevac Video for Google Drive can link one Roku device, account, or subscription to a single Google account.
Don’t let other Roku apps drop of Google Drive support leave your library stranded.
This feature is only available for single videos, not playlists.
You can select the video caption if the caption file contains the name of the video file. When you open details of any video we will list the caption files with the same name as video. Automatic captions and file captions from the Google API are not available. Therefore, users need to manually select the caption file.
For example, a movie named "Sample Movie" will display the following caption file options: "Sample Movie.srt", "Sample Movie eng.srt", "Sample Movie esp.srt".
After selecting a caption file, remember to enable Roku captions. You can do this through the Roku menu or by pressing the '*' button on your remote while the video is playing.
Star your favorite videos in Google Drive to have them appear in the top row of the Pevac Video application. It will take some time for Google to propagate the changes across its own servers.
By default Pevac Video will show all video files from your Google Drive. If you wish, you can choose a different root folder from Google, and the application will display videos from that folder.
Make your own playlists and play them in sequence. You can have 5 playlists and rename those if you want. The limit of 5 playlists is due to technical limitations regarding the storage of playlist data.
Navigate to Menu -> Playlist and select the playlist you want to play. Using your Roku remote, navigate to and focus on the 'Play' button, then press 'OK' to start the playlist.
Navigate to Menu -> Playlist. Then, use two right clicks on your remote to access the listed files. From the listed files, select the videos you want to add to the playlist by pressing 'OK' on your remote.
Navigate to Menu -> Playlist and select the playlist name you wish to rename. Press 'OK' on your remote to open the keyboard and enter the new name.
Use your Roku Voice Remote for easy voice input on keyboards and convenient control of the video player.
